Born and raised in Tokyo, OMB's first encounter with electronic dance music dates back to early 90's with House music. He then falls in love with Progressive House in the mid-90's where he starts a career as a DJ, playing and holding residences at various clubs in Tokyo. Being a huge fan of Deep Dish, in 97 he begins producing /remixing tracks of his own. In 2002, OMB releases his first full lengh artist album "Night Shift" from Tokyo's essential label/promoter Anoyo. His talent was then discovered by Anthony Pappa, which lead to releasing his first vinyl single "Beeperhorn/Whiteroom" from 3Beat Records. Following the release from 3Beat, "Explicit" was released from Womb Recordings as a first single from the label. He has upcoming releases from Silver Planet, Screen Records, and Acute recordings, making him one of the most up and coming Japanese producers. His tracks are currently being played by such DJs as Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontaine, Deep Dish, Chris Fortier, Mo Shic, and Anthony Pappa just to name a few. In 2003, his track "Unbalanced Crow" was used in an X-Box game, "Project Gotham." OMB uses Macintosh as his main arsenal, along with various soft synths and Access Virus Indigo and Roland JP-8000 as hardware. To learn more about OMB, feel free to visit OMB's Website | |
