Habersham

At only twenty years old, Damon Fonooni, known in the music world as Habersham, has accomplished what most would deem impossible at such an age. Born in Iran, Damon has lived all over the world, and now currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where he attends school full time. He has been DJing for 5 years and writing original music for 3 years. Damon's sights are set high, not focusing on the local scene but rather on the world stage, and with the support he has received he is very quickly rising in international standing. Habersham's original works have received acclaim from the likes of Craig Richards, Saeed and Palash, Barry Gilbey, Sander Kleinenberg, Martin Villeneuve (MV/Envy), Chris Fortier, Tim Skinner, Jimmy Van M, Koma and Bones, Ben Camp, Paolo Mojo, Jason Jollins, Hector Romero, Gene Carbonell, and Phil K who chose to license his "Mister Cool" single, forthcoming on Music Is Freedom, to his Balance 004 compilation, not to mention featuring another of Hab's tracks on his guest mix for John Digweed's Kiss FM show in Decemeber. Currently signed to release “Sometimes I dream” on Acute Recordings, Damon Fonooni is certainly an artist to keep an eye on in 2003.
