FESTA BROS (DJ AGUSTIN FESTA & NICOLAS FESTA)

Two brothers with an exclusive collection of disco & funky music taken from their family history. Nicolas was born in 1978 in Buenos Aires, then three years later Agustin came. From their childhood both were raised in a music and disco atmosphere. This passion and family business set the roots for a promising career.

After their experience playing at friends parties and local bars, in 1995 they started to play in the biggest clubs in Bs As such as El Cielo and La Morocha along with Pedro Delguy. At this moment, it was clear that what started off as a hobbie was now left behind to become a professional DJ career. From that time onwards they made inroads in house music and managed to identify their style with this sound. In the year 1998 they obtained their first residence in La Morocha, Pilar. There they started to burst in the local scene together with well/known national DJs like Hernan Cattaneo.

In 2000, with a continuous professional and musical growth, they began to work in their own sets of House, Tribal and Progressive, highly influenced by great artists like Frankie Knuckles and Danny Tenaglia, which demonstrated their tendency for house music. At a young age, the Festa Bros, along with some friends, opened their own bar called "Blue" in Pilar (30 mins away from Bs As) where night after night they showed their skills behind the turntables. This gave them an excellent relationship with different people related to events and clubs in Bs As. By the end of the year 2001 the Festa Bros were residents in Barfly and Bs As News, in addition they played as guests in the most important clubs in Bs As. At the same time, they had a local radio show called Manhouse reporting music news and spreading this way their music style with the Festa Bros trade-mark. Until 2003 they continued as residents in Barfly and Bs As News, and added the club called Club Pilar. Apart from that they started to work in tribal and progressive house productions.

One year later, they started working in the most important national electronic music radio station called Metrodance 95.1 FM, in the Music Department, where they had the possibility to be with the best national and international Djs and this allowed the Festas to have a stronger exposure in the local scene. After this recognition they were included in the line up for Creamfields Buenos Aires 2004 Edition, together with internationally known artists like Deep Dish, Groove Armada, Eric Morillo, Paul Oakenfold, Steve Lawler, James Zabiela, Lexicon Avenue. among others.

At the same time they had the opportunity to play in the previous cocktail of the two editions of the Moonpark Fest, where the main stars were JXL & Hernan Cattaneo (1 Edition) and John Digweed & Hernan Cattaneo (2 Edition).

In the beginning of 2005, the brothers obtained their own radio show at Metrodance 95.1 FM called Sunday Beats, together with Dj Fabian Dellamonica, which is on air Sunday from 12 pm to 8 pm local time (www.metro951.com ).

During this year, they have been mostly dedicated at the studio work; and finally edited two tracks by the english label, CP Recordings. One of these tracks was remixed by the dj & producer Deep Mariano & CPM, and it will also be released by this label.

By November 2005, they were confirmed for the 5th edition of Creamfields in Buenos Aires, this time with artists like The Prodigy, Danny Howells, Danny Tenaglia and James Holden, among others.

Nowadays, some of their new productions are included in sets of different djs like Hernan Cattaneo, Jason Jollins, Martin Garcia and Guille Quero, among others.
